Our Mission

The Mission of The Oakmont League of Glendale is to promote goodwill in the community through cooperation and service; and to aid and assist, financially and otherwise, worthy charitable and other philanthropic organizations or undertakings.

For over 85 years, we have proudly partnered with local agencies to support and strengthen the Glendale community through both volunteer work and financial contributions.

Our philanthropic efforts focus primarily on two areas: providing scholarships and supporting local organizations that make a meaningful impact in our city.

In recent years, we have proudly supported the YWCA’s Domestic Violence Support Services and contributed clothing, food, and gifts throughout the year. We also help sponsor Camp Rosie, a summer program for teenage girls.

Each year, we award scholarships to graduating seniors from Glendale, Clark Magnet, Hoover, and Crescenta Valley high schools, as well as to Glendale Community College students transferring to four-year universities. Additionally, we support the Disabled Student Programs and Services at Glendale Community College to help provide adaptive resources for students.

The Oakmont League is made up of dynamic, dedicated women who enjoy working together to make a difference. We’re always excited to welcome new members who share our passion for friendship and service.

If you’re interested in getting involved, we’d love to hear from you!
